365 Photos - Week 25

As usual running totally behind on both keeping up with taking photos and posting them... hoping to catch up soon, but we'll see how that goes ;)

I am all for providing parking to the handicaped... However this "spot" showed up a year or two ago out of the blue, and no one EVER parks there. Not sure why it's there, or where it's providing easy access to.

I LOVE buttons, but then the dilemma arises of what to do with them. These earrings are made of vintage buttons... I think this was an excellent solution.

Lemon Mousse... OMG awesome!! I wouldn't really call it mouse consistency it was thicker or just different but really really good. It turned out to be really good with a bunch of blueberries and coolwhip on top... ohhh yumm.

1989 reuion game

June 13th we headed to see the Giants vs. the A's with a tribute to the 1989 team. It was a perfect day in SF, we had dinner at 21st Ammendment (not my favorite brewery, but pretty good). Then we headed to the game. It turned out we'd lucked out by having seats at the club level that turned out to be litterally right next to the luxury type box for the 1989 team (we wondered why they weren't in a private box, but we overheard they had one of those too). Here's a picture of Kyle thrilled by just getting Will Clark's autograph, also received Robby Thompson, Kevin Mitchell, & Dave Dravecky. The kid insides dream come true. And to top it all off the Giant's won! I'd call this a perfect day at the ball park.

Still behind in posting... but I've been reasonably good about taking pictures. I'm almost to the halfway point. Here are week 23 pictures.

Flowers from my brother and sister in law for my birthday. Such a wonderful surprise at work!! I loved them. And they lasted about a week!!!

Gift bag from friends who gave me awesome gifts for my birthday.

I found this at Target and decided I needed one for my scrapbook room.

I recently got a couple of sets from Taylored Expressions and I'm loving them. I don't think I will tire of using them soon, which is awesome because half the time when I buy a stamp it just sits or gets used only once. I've already used these stamps a few times and plan on many more. This card was a thank you for the wonderful gifts some friends gave me for my birthday.

Peek-a-boo

An almost daily break from work with some work friends yield a large cup of tea. Favorite from Starbucks is the red bush tea.. also like the passion ice tea (hot is pretty good as well), and when I'm in a minty mood it's the refresh. For some reason the tea is just so much better from the store. We also frequent sip (the best latte's and mocha's) and occasionally Peet's (less seating area, summer will probably bring more trips here) I love the hot hibiscus tea.

365 Photos - Week 21

Again I'm very behind on posting, I'm hoping to catch up later today and post this last weeks as well.    But for now I'm posting a couple weeks ago, all these pictures are from memorial day weekend down in Carmel/Monterey.    We drove down friday, and after a quick stop at my parents we headed to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.   The old jellyfish exhibit is out, but seahorses are in.    So that was fun, it's been a couple years since I've been.   After we had dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., I had the some of the best shrimp I've ever had.    After we headed to out hotel overlooking the coast.   It was a nice view from the room even if the weekend turned out to be totally socked in with fog.   Saturday we wandered around carmel and monterey.    We ate lunch at the Merlot Bistro in carmel, then headed back to monterey where we saw sharks 3-d on imax.   Sunday we vegged in the hotel in the morning then headed out Bernardus Lodge for massages (wonderful!!),  then did a bit of wine tasting and then back to the lodge for dinner before heading back to the hotel.   We wrapped up the weekend with brunch at Bistro 211 and then headed home.    I was then lucky enough to drive up to Berkeley to visit with my brother over dinner.     Unfortunately Tuesday I had to go back to work.     The following are some of the best of the weekened.

Just about 100 out...   this was after it started cooling down.   

Fresh coconut ice cream.   While coming home from half moon bay we stopped at the fruit stand and got a whole coconut....   after slamming it on the front patio to open we had to figure out what to make with it.   So we made fresh coconut ice cream, which Kyle says is the best ice cream he's ever had.

I'm behind!! Picture taking has been pretty much limited to weekends, particularly the last couple weeks, work has just been too busy. I keep hoping I can get back into the grove... Until then here are week 19 photos.
